 "FANSAVEES" in English language means "Twenty Five". Fansavees for the purpose of the press briefing room refers to Article 25 of the Maldives Constitution dealing with the Freedom of
Expression.
FANSAVEES is a press briefing room created for holding press conferences and issuing statements to the media.
FANSAVEES can be used by government agencies, corporate organizations, registered political parties, visiting officials of foreign governments and foreign corporations.
FANSAVEES is a unit established by the Department of Information
The liability for accuracy and reliability of information issued to media at FANSAVEES shall fall upon the parties making such statements or holding the press conference

SERVICES
GREEN ROOM: A waiting room with access only for the party who has booked FANSAVEES to conduct the press briefing
BRIEFING HALL: Stage with podium and
head table accommodating upto a maximum of five persons. Hall has a seating capacity sufficient for 35 media personnel
TECHINICAL CAPACITY: Two video cameras will function inside the hall at all times when a press conference is on going. Audio microphones on podium and head table will be provided and cordless microphones will be used by media personnel to pose questions. Facility to broadcast a press conference live is available. Audio and video of every press conference is recorded. Recordings could be purchased from FANSAVEES in various formats. Projector and screen facilities will be available. FANSAVEES is a wireless internet zone
 NOTE:- Video camera which requires setting up using a tripod and other connections are not permitted inside FANSAVEES unless a special permit is obtained
PRESS ROOM: A room for use by media personnel only. The room would have the following facilities:
local daily newspapers, media related literature, wireless internet, two computers, fax machine, TV, Stereo, table and seating for reading and writing. Laptop use is also provided for in this room
NOTE:- Any media personnel working for a registered media organisation and who holds a valid press card authorized by that organisation can use the facilities of the ‘Press Room’ of FANSAVEES free of charge
